Community feedback on the energy transformation
In 2023, we asked communities for their views on how they are experiencing the energy transformation.
We hosted 18 regional roadshows and over 50 briefings and workshops to meet and listen to Queenslanders across the state.
During the consultation we received more than:
- 1,500 survey responses
- 200 written submissions
- 56,000 website visits
- 400 new email subscribers.
What you told us
In summary, Queenslanders told us:
- The energy transformation can help us grow but local and overall impacts need to be carefully managed.
- Improved strategic coordination and planning is important for the success of the energy transformation.
- Communities want to see more genuine, early and ongoing engagement.
- There needs to be increased focus on delivering real and long-lasting benefits in communities.
