Queensland Business Energy Savings Transformation
Queensland businesses will soon benefit from the $35 million program to help businesses save money on their electricity bills.
The Queensland Business Energy Savings Transformation (QBEST) program will support the purchase of energy efficient equipment, smart technology, and energy management systems to drive down their energy costs.
QBEST is an initiative under the Queensland Energy and Jobs Plan. The Plan outlines a vision and pathway to transform Queensland’s electricity system to deliver clean, reliable, and affordable power for generations.
The program will be rolled out in stages up until 2026.
Queensland Business Energy Saving and Transformation – Agriculture (QBEST Ag)
QBEST Ag is an initiative under the QBEST program, that will assist small-to-medium sized agricultural businesses to reduce electricity costs through sharing information and practical advice on efficient energy use.
Queensland Farmers Federation will deliver a number of onsite farm energy audits across key agricultural sectors, to identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency within the Queensland agricultural industry.
The program will build on previous energy audits supported by the Queensland Government, with results to be published on a new Ag Energy Information Hub with case studies. This will demonstrate how agricultural businesses can boost their productivity and returns.
More information about QBEST Ag will be available soon.
